OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT | SAGADA TOURIST REGISTRATION FEE PAYMENT

Effective immediately, all tourist registration fees shall be paid exclusively through authorized online payment platforms via the LBP Link biz portal or at umali-kayo.sagada.gov.ph. As the Municipality of Sagada moves forward to digitalization, this measure shall enhance the efficiency and transparency of financial transactions.

Proof of payment (screenshot or transaction reference) will serve as acknowledgment through the online payment slip to be issued by the Municipal Treasury Office. In cases of poor or no internet signal, manual payment will be temporarily accepted. Convenience fees charged by the digital wallet providers, if any will be shouldered by the client.

After its scheduled month-long closure, Sumaguing Cave is officially reopening to tourists today, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

The closure throughout September was implemented under the 2022 Revised Tourism Code of Sagada, which allows periodic closures of tourism sites to support proper management, conservation, and protection.

With the reopening, visitors may once again experience the natural beauty of one of Sagada’s most iconic destinations.

For the safety of visitors and the protection of the cave, all tourists are reminded to observe existing tourism guidelines and regulations and to follow the instructions of accredited guides and tourism personnel.

RARE GEOLOGICAL MARVEL. The Blue Mountains, a favored tourist destination in Sagada, Mt. Province, features a blue-green
terrain, a natural reaction of minerals and smooth rock formations. It is also called by the locals as ‘Kaman-utek,’ meaning ‘like a brain,’
because the ridges look like gray matter.
