Amlangan is a Sagada kankanaey dialect term for a “bonfire place”. In this town of pines and rocks, neighbors within a cluster of homes used to gather and share stories, experiences, day to day activites, news updates, and other concerns, while warming their bodies around the fire at the “amlangan” usually early evening when its cold.
Visiting Sagada involves long hours of travel. Outdoor activities await you here such as hiking, caving, spelunking, mountaineering, swimming, and others. Once in Sagada, walking is our means of travel. Sagada is a "walk town", with a marvelous atmosphere and unique culture that keeps people coming back again and again.
