A very saddened incident happened with Isla Reta Beach Resort, last September 8, 2022 and a very honorable day for Mama Mary. Much of our desire not to respond with the complaint of Alexa Balintag regarding the alleged statement to quote “ SHOUT OUT KU ANANG ISLA RETA RESORT WHAT AN OUTDATED IMBECILE MINDSET, IRU UG MGA BATASAN, MGA BASTOS UG KALIWAT”. KINSA DAW DILI MAYAWAAN . KANANG KADALI LANG GURL, ITAPAD DAW TANG DUHA MAS MAALAN KAPA NA BAYOT SA ATONG DUHA, UG UNSA PASUOTON KO NINYO UG PANGLALAKI MGA HAYUP MO”. The said statement is a manifestation for having a questionable behavior.
The personnel of Isla Reta Resort where trained by the management with full of values and our patrons could attest the fact that we are very careful in dealing with our customers. We don’s exist longer in the business industry if we do not caring with people. We want them to experience a memorable moments on their stay in the resort.
The truth of the matter, he was a walk in guest and riding with the other boat not owned by Isla Reta Resort. The guard was not able to notice that he was a transgender for the reason that he was not alone passing the gate. That’s why he was able to enter the premises and was advised to proceed to the registrar for evaluation.
Previously, the owner already gave a statement that there was no provision for a separate toilet for the transgender and at once, he decided not to accept a transgender, just to avoid the same incident as before. Surely, that was a headline news from the local media because almost everybody were aware of it. But, for humanitarian reason, we tried to put things in a proper perspective, that if they will not wear a female attire, then, they will be allowed.
Alexa Batilag has no right to question the decision of management, since it is a private property and has no right to insult our staff, including the representative from LGU. He was given an option in a nice way to changed a male attire if he insist for admission. We don’t think, he was not updated with the previous issue, since it concerns on his identity.
The management and staff has no intention of discriminating anybody, but our priority is for the safety of every guests in our vicinity.
