Five years ago, we set out to build more than a farm stay.
Today, what we're most proud of isn't just the place we've built; it's the community that's grown alongside it.

We've seen women become entrepreneurs, farmers become hosts and storytellers, young people step into leadership, and local communities create opportunities by sharing their culture, skills, and traditions.

This is what community-based tourism means to us. When local people thrive, visitors leave with more than memories—they leave with a deeper appreciation for the place and the people who call it home.

To everyone who has been part of this journey, thank you for believing in our vision. Here's to continuing to grow together. 💚

Five years ago, Panuluyan began with a simple dream—to create a place where people could experience the heart of Marinduque through its culture, community, and stories.

Today, as we celebrate this milestone, we're filled with gratitude for everyone who has been part of the journey.
To our guests, local partners, artisans, farmers, community members, and our incredible team—thank you for your trust and support. We couldn't have reached this milestone without people like you.

Here's to celebrating Marinduque together for many more years. 💚

Five years wouldn't have been possible without the people who've been part of this journey.

To every guest who chose to stay with us, every local partner who shared their craft, every farmer, artisan, community member, and every member of our team—thank you for believing in what we're building together.

Your support has allowed us to continue creating meaningful experiences while celebrating the people, culture, and traditions that make Marinduque so special.

Here's to many more years of welcoming people to the Heart of the Philippines. 💚

Why does some chocolate taste so much better than others? 🍫

One of the biggest reasons is the cacao variety.

Some varieties are known for bold, intense flavors, while others produce delicate notes of fruit, flowers, nuts, or caramel. The Philippines is even one of the few countries with documented pure Criollo cacao—a rare variety prized for its exceptional flavor.

But variety is only part of what makes great chocolate.
What happens after harvest, especially fermentation, drying, and roasting, is just as important in bringing out the cacao's full potential. Even exceptional cacao depends on careful processing to become exceptional chocolate.

In Episode 3 of Things You Probably Didn't Know About Cacao, we're exploring why the journey to great chocolate starts with the tree, but doesn't end there.

And in Episode 4, we'll take a closer look at fermentation and why it's one of the most important steps in creating remarkable chocolate.

Have you seen this side of the Philippines? 🇵🇭

Beyond the festivals are communities where traditions continue to be part of everyday life—from weaving and pottery to cacao farming and local food.

It's the kind of culture you don't just observe. You experience it through the people who continue to keep these traditions alive.

If you're planning a trip to Marinduque, comment "CULTURE", and we'll send you our free 5-day itinerary. 💚

What's your ultimate rainy day comfort food? 🌧️

For us, nothing beats a warm bowl of ulang-ulang, a comforting serving of tinola, or a steaming cup of tsokolate.

At Panuluyan’s Azotea Eatery, we believe great comfort food starts with great ingredients. That’s why we cook with fresh local ingredients and make our own stocks from scratch—never cubes or MSG.

If you're visiting Marinduque during the rainy season, pass by Panuluyan and try some of our Farmilya Favorites.

Which one would you try first? Comment below! 💚
