On September 8, 2025, at OKADA Manila, Honorable Ismael R. Baterina and Michelle A. Adolfo, OIC of the Provincial Tourism Development and Promotions Office, proudly accepted the Plaque of Certification from the Department of Tourism. Ilocos Sur has been honored as one of the Top Finalists - Tourism Destination (Provincial Category) in the Pioneer Philippine Tourism Awards.
