Dear All, recently a non-guest posted lies and malicious allegations against our micro-resort. Claiming that we did not accommodate their demands. We would like to comment and address these insinuations to clear our besmirched name. Though we do not expect everybody to like our place, we draw the line when lies are peddled and our staff members are being bullied.
1. Contrary to your allegations, we never claimed to be a 5-star resort. In fact, we never even claimed to have a star. We are a simple micro-resort trying to give a good experience to our guests. If you want a 5-star service, you can book elsewhere. We are not forcing you to stay with us.
2. Contracts are read and signed for a reason. It means you agreed to and understood the terms set by the owners of the property. It is their private property, so it means they can manage it as they see fit.
3. The terms of the contract are clear. 2 persons for the type of room they booked. What this person wants is to squeeze in more people than what the room can accommodate. Our rooms are small, and the safety of our guests are our priority. So non-guests are not allowed to “squeeze in” because it is a security and safety issue. How can the room be relaxing when more than 2 people are staying in a tight space?
4. The pool has a time that it closes. Why? For safety purposes, we do not want accidents to happen, especially in our pool. All resorts have this type of rule, more so the 5-star resorts that this person is comparing our small operation to.
5. We limit the number of the persons staying in the rooms and people swimming in the pool for the safety and security of other guests staying in the property. Again, our guests are our priority and not non-guests who complain.
6. There are a lot of expenses running a business, even a small one like ours. Moreso in an island province like Marinduque wherein everything is expensive. Demanding a business to give complimentary or free things is the height of arrogance from somebody who is not even a guest. We simply cannot afford to give “complimentary” things like what this person is demanding the business to give. Again, if he wants complimentary things, he can look for other resorts in the area.
7. This person is not the only person who books and stays in hotels all over the world. Sorry to burst your bubble, but we are very aware and familiar with hotels in the Philippines and all over the world. Every hotel has their own rules. Even AirBNB’s have strict rules. So please, do not act like we do not know what we are doing with our property and that we are the only property with these types of rules.
To reiterate, this person is not even a guest in our place but a person who wants to “squeeze” in non-guests in a room for 2 pax. A non-guest who wants to swim beyond 10pm and gets mad that he will take a “kuliglig” after 10pm. It is not our problem that you need to take a kuliglig out of our place when you are not even a guest. Worse, he demands complimentary things to allegedly make our resort better for guests.
Again, to all our guests, please understand that our micro-resort has a contract and rules that you agreed to when you sign. It means you understood the terms and agree to them when you stay in our place. These rules are there to make our guests comfortable and safe.
