😂 Paano kung 14 kayo pero 6 lang ang kumot at 4 lang ang towel?

We recently went on a family outing out of town and booked a room/apartment for 14 pax.

After a whole day of tour, ang nasa isip na lang namin:
“Finally, pahinga na!” 😩🛏️

Pero pagdating… brownout! 🥵
Walang tubig sa CR dahil brownout, so dinner muna kami habang naghihintay.

Then another discovery…
6 blankets. 4 towels. For 14 people. 😂

Okay lang naman… pero doon namin na-realize:

👉 “Ahhh… ganito pala kapag guest ka.”

Gabi na, kailangan ko pang mag-work. Pero 2 outlets lang per room at ang dami namin. 😅

May kitchen naman…
pero walang utensils.
Walang free drinking water.
So ayun, labas ulit at bili. 😂

And honestly, malaking eye-opener siya.

💡 Sometimes, you have to be a guest yourself to understand what your guests truly need.

Kaya mas na-appreciate namin ngayon ang mga little things we provide at RCM Ecolodge. 🌿❤️

For our guests, we make sure na:

🛏️ Enough blankets & towels based on the number of checked-in guests
🔌 Extra extension wires — dahil alam naming lahat may cellphone! 😂
☀️ Solar-powered + back-up genset for added comfort during power interruptions
🍽️ Kitchen utensils — no need bumili sa labas
💧 FREE drinking water
👕 Clothes steamer & plantsa — just request at reception
💨 Hair blower — available upon request

A Gentle Reminder to Our Guests✅✅

Please understand that the hotel cannot shoulder the costs caused by last-minute changes in plans. We did not reach out to ask you to book—you contacted us, chose your preferred date, and confirmed the reservation with us.

If you are still unsure about your plans, we kindly ask that you refrain from booking that particular date until you are certain. Giving less than 24 hours’ notice for a change or cancellation makes it very difficult for us to accommodate other guests.

Once a room is reserved for you, we turn away other guests who may have wanted to book the same date. So when plans suddenly change and you expect not to be charged, we hope you understand that the hotel also incurs a loss.

Please note that it is the guest’s responsibility to read and understand our booking policy after sending the deposit. If there is anything in the policy that you do not agree with, we are more than willing to return your deposit if you let us know and change your mind immediately after receiving the policy.

However, once you have acknowledged the policy and kept your reservation, we expect the agreed terms to be respected. We hope you understand that these policies are in place to protect both our guests and the hotel. 🙏

We truly appreciate your consideration and understanding. 😭🙏

There was a time when even a proper sign felt like a luxury. We could barely afford one, so we chose a simple tarp instead. It faded after a year, but at that time, we had other expenses to prioritize.

That’s how our journey started—small, simple, and one step at a time. ❤️

Today, as we continue to grow and work toward the dreams we once only imagined, we are reminded that beautiful things take time. Every little improvement, every milestone, and every step forward means so much to us.

Huwag lang sana yung umaga pa cancelled na, tapos gabi na saka mag-i-inform—kawawa naman ang staff, halos pumuti na ang mata sa kakahintay, tapos magpaparefund pa! 👀😂 Aba!

She asked about the room, I gave the details and the price. Then ang sunod niyang question kay, "Asa i-send ang down payment?" That's it! In less than an hour of conversation, reserved na dayon ang rooms. 🥹✨

Never take it personally when a guest asks if we're legit. 💛

If they haven't verified us yet, let's gladly guide them on how they can check the legitimacy of our page. And if needed, we can also provide our registration or permit documents, making sure the owner's name matches the account where they'll be sending their down payment.

With so many scams happening these days, it's only natural for guests to be cautious.

Our goal is to give them peace of mind—to let them know their reservation is secure, their down payment is safe, and they'll have a place to call home when they arrive in Siquijor.
