🔔 ADVISORY | TEMPORARY CLOSURE – LAPSAY LAGOON
Barangay Banban, Tinago Island, Municipality of Tagana-an

The public is hereby informed that Lapsay Lagoon is currently TEMPORARILY CLOSED until further notice.

In line with this closure, the following are strictly prohibited:

⛔ No individuals are allowed to enter or visit the area.
⛔ No pump boat operators are permitted to accept, accommodate, or transport guests — including walk-in tourists and private individuals — to the establishment.
⛔ No pump boat operator shall send or ferry any customer to the said destination, regardless of purpose.

✅ Exception: Only the following authorized personnel are allowed entry for official purposes:
- Local Government Unit (LGU) Representatives
- Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)
- Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)
- Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)
- Other duly authorized government inspectors conducting official inspection

All pump boat operators are enjoined to strictly comply with this directive. Non-compliance will be dealt with accordingly under existing laws and regulations.

We ask for the understanding and full cooperation of the public, tourist operators, and stakeholders during this period.

For public transparency and legal clarity, we are formally stating that this page is not an authorized representative of Tinago Holidays Island Resort. The LGU of Taganaan has officially announced that the legitimate resort is CLOSED, yet this page continues to post misleading information, including unverified claims of ownership and unauthorized business operations.

We are raising serious concerns regarding the self-proclaimed ownership being advertised here, which has no legal basis and directly contradicts documented family ownership. Any public claim over land or property without proper titles, deeds, or legal authority may fall under potential violations of the Civil Code of the Philippines relating to property rights, and may also constitute grounds for administrative or legal review under the Local Government Code.

Operating a resort without a valid Business Permit, Mayor’s Permit, or Tourism Accreditation is a violation of local and national laws. In addition, any misleading assertion of control or possession over land or business operations may raise issues related to unlawful occupation or property misrepresentation, subject to investigation under applicable Philippine statutes.

We at Tinago Holidays Island Resort express our full support and cooperation with the directive issued by the Municipal Tourism Office of Tagana-an, Surigao del Norte, and the Local Government Unit (LGU) regarding the temporary closure of our resort following the recent unfortunate incident.
The safety and well-being of our guests, staff, and the broader community have always been—and will remain—our top priority. In line with this, we are working closely with local authorities to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to address the situation and to further strengthen our safety protocols.
