THE UNIVERSITY BELT OF CAVITE
A growing academic corridor is emerging across Dasmariรฑas, Imus, and General Triasโforming Caviteโs very own University Belt. With established institutions and rising academic districts, the province is cultivating a dynamic learning environment that strengthens its identity as a premier education hub in Southern Luzon.
At the center of this corridor is Dasmariรฑas, long regarded as Caviteโs educational core. It is home to major and well-known institutions whose strong presence has made the city a leading destination for students from Cavite, nearby provinces, and even Metro Manila. This academic foundation is further reinforced by University Town in Villar City, envisioned as a modern educational district with research hubs and student-centered facilitiesโits centerpiece being the upcoming University of the Philippines campus, solidifying its status as the UniverCity Capital of Cavite.
Imus is emerging as another learning hub through the Vermosa Campus Town. What began with De La Salle Santiago Zobel is now expanding with the entry of upcoming premier universities and colleges, laying the groundwork for a new academic community. Meanwhile, General Trias is positioning itself as Caviteโs next academic frontier. Within Riverpark, the Ateneo de Manila University is set to open a new campusโanother milestone for the province. With the eventual presence of UP, Ateneo, and De La Salle, Cavite will soon host the Big 3 Universities, a rare distinction outside Metro Manila.
Surrounding areas such as Bacoor, Silang, Trece Martires, and Tanza are also witnessing the rise of new education hubs, contributing to a connected academic network across the province.
