September 1 is here — and in the Philippines, that practically means Christmas has begun. 🎄✨
A little trivia: the Philippines is famous for celebrating one of the longest Christmas seasons in the world, with the festive mood already starting as soon as the ’Ber months arrive.
But maybe that’s the beautiful part of it. Christmas does not have to be confined to one day, or even one season. We can make our ordinary days little Christmases — through kindness, gratitude, faith, generosity, family, laughter, and choosing hope despite the challenges we carry.
And when some prayers still feel far away, we hold on to a beautiful word: “pohon” someday, one day, in God’s time. 💛
So this September, may we celebrate what we have now, keep believing in what is still to come, and make each day feel a little more like Christmas.
And yes… somewhere in the distance, Jose Mari Chan has already started singing. 🎶😂🎄
