A new chapter is starting for Panglao. 🏨 KEW Hotel Panglao has begun hiring because the hotel will open soon. It began on Monday at KEW Hotel Tagbilaran, which also hosted Tuesday. Today, the hiring moved to the actual site in Panglao. 🎉 In the photos, applicants line up with their folders, ready and hopeful. 🙌 Interviews take place at the tables, while a big crowd waits in the hall. 👏 Once it opens, this will be the tallest building. A moment worth remembering for many years. ✨

Last Saturday, September 19, 2026, the KEW Group of Companies quietly joined the world in celebrating International Coastal Cleanup Day. The team gathered at the Cainget Area, picking up trash along the shoreline with nothing but gloves, rice sacks, and willing hands. Led by the Head Office personnel, representatives from the different business units of KGC showed up too, side by side, doing their small but meaningful part. This is something KGC does every year, a gentle reminder that caring for the sea is everyone's responsibility. And honestly? It is one of the most beautiful things a company can do. 🌊

KEW Hotel Panglao Brings the Feast to the Run

The Bohol International Marathon, also known as the Sandugo Run, returned on August 30, 2026, drawing over 4,300 runners from across the Philippines and beyond. With distances ranging from 5KM to a full 42KM on a World Athletics accredited course, it once again proved why it is the biggest running event on the island.

But among the many things that made this year's BIM memorable, one moment stood out along the route. KEW Hotel Panglao, an 11-storey property with two basement levels and a rooftop swimming pool set to open in the first week of December this year, put up a Lechon Station that stopped runners in their tracks, and for good reason.

The food and beverage staff of KEW Hotel Panglao, headed by Operations Manager Mr. Ariel Lumbres, was already at the site by 1:00 in the morning. That kind of dedication does not go unnoticed.

One of the photos from the event shows Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado stopping by the station and trying the lechon himself. That says everything about how good it was.

KEW Hotel Panglao was not alone. Other stakeholders from Panglao town also put up their own stations along the route, showing how the whole community came together to welcome every runner.

From the early morning setup to the golden, crispy lechon that fed hungry runners, KEW Hotel Panglao showed up, served well, and made Bohol proud.

Where the City Breathes Again

Tagbilaran is an urban jungle. Concrete everywhere, traffic that never seems to quit, and people rushing from one place to the next without stopping to think about lunch. So when a new restaurant promises to change all of that, you pay attention.

On August 18, 2026, at Ken's Coffee Shop inside KEW Hotel Tagbilaran, something quietly significant happened. Dr. Wilson U. Du, President and CEO of the KEW Group of Companies, sat down with Chef Jenzel Fontilla, the brilliant mind behind The Monkey Bar, and signed a contract that could shake up the local dining scene in a very real way.

Chef Jenzel is not here to just cook. He is here to build an experience. The new restaurant, set to open next month at the WE Restaurant Complex along JA Clarin Street right beside SURA Samgyupsal House, is designed around one powerful idea: an oasis. Think lush vegetation themed interiors, soft textures, and a pond at the center of the dining room that releases a gentle mist into the air. It feels like the city suddenly exhaled.

The menu keeps things honest. About 85 percent of the dishes are Filipino, rooted in the flavors that people here grew up loving. A small selection of international dishes rounds things out nicely.

This is not just another restaurant opening. It is a statement that Tagbilaran deserves a place to slow down, eat well, and feel human again. Chef Jenzel and Dr. Du just made that possible.
