Thank you for choosing The QALMARA Private Rest Houses as your place for relaxation.
QALMARA was built in the early 1990s as the rest house of a family based in Metro Manila. This is where the owners would stay for a few days to unwind and enjoy the exquisiteness of nature. They would bring other family members and friends to QALMARA to enjoy its serenity.
However, only the family and a few persons enjoyed its magnificence.
We have decided to open up our place for selected persons such as you because we want to share the benefits of staying in clean and unpolluted surroundings.
These are what you will relish in QALMARA.
CLIMATE The temperature in QALMARA is often cool even during summer. It gets to be chilly during the afternoon up to the early morning. We suggest that you bring warm clothes and blankets to make you cozy when the temperature dips.
EXPLORE QALMARA is a 15 - hectare property with most of it still intentionally undeveloped. Bring bikes to enjoy the trails and take time to smell the mountain flowers that sprinkle the property.
Appreciating animals has therapeutic effects on our well - being. Feel free to pet and feed the animals in the property. There are cows, chickens, dogs, cats, sheep, carabaos and our moody male horse named Petra.
PEACE We also have areas for solitude where people can pray and meditate in noiseless surroundings. Explore the grottos and religious statues that will help you reflect and appreciate your spiritual self.
VIEW Wake up to a view of the mountains of Sierra Madre. This will make you stay in bed longer giving you more time to unwind.
CONNECTIVITY Being situated in one of the higher areas of Tanay provides QALMARA with strong cellular connections. You are still within reach of people contacting you. Aside from this, your pictures can be instantly uploaded to your social networks.
OUR HOUSES
Villa Angela. This is the first house to be built inside the compound in the 1990s. It was constructed on an area that had the best view of the Sierra Madre Mountains and the winding driveway that courses the property upon entering the gate.
House of Priscilla. A comedian built the House of Priscilla in the late 1990s. This was where he would spend his weekends whenever frazzled by the world of show business. It is named Priscilla because he was one of the lead actors in the play Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Today, it a place where couples and honeymooners can spend their time looking at Laguna de Bai and the windmills of Rizal together.
Casa Fatima. This is the biggest among the three houses. This was where the family would entertain their friends who opt to stay overnight. The balcony was constructed to see the breath of Laguna de Bai and the nearby towns of Rizal and Laguna. The pool is a must for uploading pictures by Instagram and Facebook.
The following amenities are available during your stay:
1. Use of one of any of the three houses - Casa Angela, Villa Fatima and Priscilla
2. Swimming pool
3. Barbeque areas
