A wall with a purpose. A shoreline built to last.

Four years ago, we built the Gabion Wall at Uswag Sands & Villas with one goal in mind to help protect our land from strong waves, flooding, and soil erosion while caring for our beautiful coastline.

Made from reclaimed oyster shells and large stones, our gabion wall is part of a living shoreline along our 140+ meters of beachline. What makes it even more special? It was built by hand with the help of the local Dumatad fisherfolk community. 🤍

It may look like a simple wall, but behind it is a story of community, nature, and taking care of the place we call home.

Four years later, it still stands strong.
