Just some updates re our guest capacity:

✅ We can now accommodate 20 persons in our Pool and Sports areas.

✅ Bed capacity is now at 14.

We have had a busy week in Romulo’s! Thank you to our first set of guests, whom we trust had a good time here. Thank you also to those who posted pictures and talked about their stay here.

As we had hoped , our guests liked the quiet and solitude of Romulo’s. 🫶 Indeed, when you come to our retreat, you and your family and friends will be the only ones here. The shade from the trees, the breeze from the bay, and the view of the mangroves - all that, and more, will be all yours to behold. 🌲⛵️🦜🦢🌴🌴🎋

So that we can maintain the natural beauty and serenity of Romulo’s, we
regret that we are unable, at this time, to accept more than 20 persons into Romulo’s.

We now wish to share more information about what our guests liked at Romulo’s.

🏠 The Guest House

• 2-bedroom, fully-furnished and fully air-conditioned cottage with beds for 6 adults
• Room 1: Queen bed | Room 2: Two bunk beds. Both rooms are air conditioned, have ensuite bathrooms and with hot & cold showers.
• 3 Smart TVs with Starlink and CIGNAL HD
• Work space, cabinets, towels, linens
• Full kitchen: induction stove, fridge, microwave, rice cooker, coffeemaker, cooking and dining utensils
• Outdoor “dirty kitchen” with stove, grill + water dispenser

🏊‍♀️Pool Area

• Main pool: 15m x 6m, 5ft deep
• Kiddie pool area (with adult supervision)
• Showers & restrooms available
• No lifeguard
• Proper swimwear is required
• No eating/drinking by or inside the pool
• Poolside seating + buffet area with chafing dishes
• Kitchen by the pool: stove, sink, fridge, basic cooking gear 🍪🥠
• Keep music soft—no loudspeakers or intense performances please 🎤💥🎼

• Half basketball court (ball provided)
• Volleyball/Badminton court with equipment

🌅The Nipa Hut (“An Payag”)

• Overlooks the bay—great for coffee, sunsets, and quiet time
• Fishing, kayaking (2 kayaks with paddles & lifejackets) 🚣‍♂️🚣‍♂️
• Swim or jump from the raft when safe (watch out for jellyfish) 🪼🪼
• Tie kayaks securely after use, return gear to Payag
• Keep the bay clean. Please do not throw anything into the water. 🫙🦴🍕

🍛🥃Food & Drinks

• Bring your own food & drinks – no corkage fees
• Full kitchen available for cooking and meal prep
• Please bring out everything you bring in—garbage bins available.

WHERE WE ARE

We are off Irong-irong Bay, Barangay Lucerdoni, Tarangnan, Samar. From Catbalogan, it takes about 20-25 minutes by car - if you drive like me. 🙂

From Catbalogan, take the road towards Calbayog City. You will drive past Payao, Silanga, and Iguid. When you see Rosario Hills on your left, slow down and turn left at the junction - marked red in the picture below.

The road will lead you a a fork. Picture below with the gray circle. Stay on the right lane. Look out for our sign and gate on the left. Pictures below.

Drive down towards the parking area, just after the house.

We have ample parking, not to worry.

Please be aware that telephone signal - Globe in particular - is spotty.

To best address your inquiries about what we have at Romulo’s, we would like to invite you to an open house. We will be there everyday from Wednesday, 9 April 2025, until Saturday, 12 April 2025, from 10am to 12 noon, for the open house. Please call, or send a message to Bobby at 09178524433 to make prior arrangements. Unfortunately, due to staffing issues, we may not be able to accommodate you at the site unless you call first.

Through this open house, we hope you will be able to see and appreciate what awaits you at Romulo’s - the pool, sports areas, Guest House, kitchens, kayaks, mangroves, trees, trees and more trees, and the green waters of Irong-Irong bay.

We have invested substantial time (and money - needless to say) to create a place where you can unwind, enjoy the breeze and imbibe nature.
