Official Statement
We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of the patient involved, and we sincerely extend our condolences to the owner. We understand how difficult and emotional this situation is for any furparent. At the same time, it has come to our attention that false, misleading, and defamatory statements are being circulated against our clinic, which are baseless and damaging to the reputation and integrity of our veterinary professionals.
We would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
At the time of the visit, only one (1) veterinarian and one (1) veterinary nurse were on duty. The veterinarian was performing an ongoing emergency surgical procedure and could not leave the patient, as doing so would have placed another life at risk. Our staff attended to the case by checking the patientโs vital signs, which were within normal limits at that time, and the owner was respectfully advised to wait until the procedure was completed.
During the initial visit, the patient presented visible clinical signs consistent with a possible viral infection (e.g. Distemper) and was reported by the owner to be unvaccinated. The owner also informed our veterinarian that one of their dogs had previously experienced sudden death, which further raised concern for a possible infectious condition. In order to protect other confined and critical patients within the clinic, the owner was respectfully advised to remain outside in accordance with our strict infection control protocols.
Diagnostic testing was recommended to properly confirm the condition; however, this was declined. All medications provided were prescribed based on the available test results and clinical assessment at that time.
We strongly refute the allegations that our clinic was negligent or acted without care. Our team follows standard veterinary protocols and remains committed to providing safe, ethical, and responsible medical care to all patients.
We remind the public that the creation and dissemination of false information that harms a person or business may constitute a violation under Republic Act No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act), particularly cyber libel, and may result in legal consequences.
We are currently documenting all relevant information regarding this matter and are prepared to take appropriate legal action if necessary.
We encourage anyone with concerns to communicate with us directly so we can address them properly and professionally.
We thank our clients for your continued trust, understanding, and support.
