Before I proceed with the actual sewing, there is a certain detail that makes this hakama unique: the smoke-ish pattern.

So I'm testing my bleach solution on a swatch fabric first before the actual application. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to look like

Client also requested weathering, so I will airbrush the pleats a darker shade of red to make the mountain folds pop ✨
