Training on Gender,Culture and Peacebuilding for Community Women Mediators and BPAT held in Sitio Linamas,South Upi Maguindanao del Sur spearheaded by WORMD organization funded and supported by The Bangsamoro Women Commission,BARMM under the leadership of Hadja Bainon Karon(Chairperson) in partnership with Brgy,Romongaob South Upi Maguindanao del Sur headed by PB Joan Palanduyon.
One of the highlights of the activity is to understand the conflict resolution and mediation skills.The participants identified the next steps integrating gender and culture into the framework and ensure practical support and resources.

The TOWNS (The Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service) Foundation, Inc. recognizes Atty. Sha Elijah B. Dumama-Alba for her remarkable contributions to peacebuilding and moral governance in the Bangsamoro region.

As the Floor Leader of the Bangsamoro Parliament, Atty. Dumama-Alba has played a key role in guiding major pieces of legislation such as the Bangsamoro Electoral Code, Local Governance Code, and Indigenous Peoples Act. All of which advance the principles of democracy, inclusivity, and women’s empowerment in public service.

From her historic appointment as the first Attorney General of BARMM to her leadership as Minister of the Interior and Local Government, she has consistently demonstrated integrity, vision, and a steadfast commitment to strengthening peace and good governance across Mindanao.

Her distinction as a TOWNS 2025 Awardee stands as a testament to her enduring service and to the transformative power of women leaders in shaping a just and peaceful nation.
