Most of our guests at Pulangbato Falls Mountain Resort ask:
❓ Why are the rocks at Pulangbato Falls reddish-orange?
Here's a simple answer:
Valencia, Negros Oriental is well known for its geothermal activity. The water flowing through Pulangbato Falls carries natural minerals, especially iron.
As this mineral-rich water continuously flows over the rocks, iron deposits gradually build up on their surface. Over time, these deposits react with oxygen in the air through a natural process called oxidation, creating the distinctive reddish-orange color that makes Pulangbato Falls famous.
💧 The water is generally safe for swimming and bathing, allowing visitors to enjoy the refreshing experience of our uniquely colored waterfall—the majestic Pulangbato Falls.
🌿 Nature itself has painted these rocks, giving Pulangbato Falls its unique and beautiful appearance.
Come and witness one of nature's amazing wonders at Pulangbato Falls Mountain Resort!
