What is amazing about stay in MONTE ALTO? All Villas have their own private area, and we do the best we can to provide you with full privacy and solitude. You can experience an authentic lifestyle, cultural habits and observe many wonderful things in nature. Beware that the nearest ATM is from a local ATM Machine, it only accepts Mastercard & Visa. -do come prepared! Check-in is 2pm - 7pm, please avoid check-in later than 8pm since it is very problematic and in some cases not possible! Check-out by 11am. FIRST TIME IN THE JUNGLE? Monte Alto is part of local nature, our cleaning standards are at the highest, but that doesn't stop occasional insect, furry caterpillar (do not touch), frog, snake or mouse from visiting the Villas. Please consider this before booking and do not book this Villa if you are not prepared for an occasional encounter. We are immersed in nature. Animals are friends, not enemies. We urge you to always turn your lights on in the night when moving around the Villas or visiting the bathroom. Did you know that a spider can make a new web in under 1 hour? With our biggest efforts to keep the Villas perfect and insect free, you have to expect that there will be some spiders, some bugs and some mosquitos. That is just nature and we can't do anything more for it. If you don't feel comfortable with that, it is better to book a different type of accommodation than an Eco Villas. We recommend being prepared for the off-the-grid experience. LOCATION
Please take a careful look at the map, we are over 45 minutes away from the city of Ormoc and 2 hours from the city of Tacloban where the provincial airport is located. There is no night-life here. No bars, clubs, coffee houses or shops with imported products. We are this far from the city by choice. In the middle of rice fields with a calm setting next to the running river.
