History of Rakaposhi Camping Site (RCS) dates back to 1974. Now privately owned by the family RCS also remained under management of Pakistan Tourism Corporation and served as the first camping site in Hunza Valley. In the hay days of tourism in the valley RCS hosted thousands of foreign tourists in its lush green lawns which provide a magnificent view of the Rakaposhi Peak. RCS was the place of ch

oice for the foreign groups who would come all the way from European countries by road in their Carvans. Apart from foreign tourist the camping site was equally famous among domestic tourists. RCS took the management of site from PTDC in1990 and since then its continues hosting campers from around the globe. Facilities:
1- RCS provides Tents (Large and Small) with complete hygienic bedding.
2- If camper has his/her own tent. camping space is available.
3- Large car parking (Multiple Carvans of every size can be accommodated)
4- Washrooms (with running water)
5- Luggage storage area
6- Kitchen facility (for campers who wants to self cook)
7- Lighting
8- Gates secured area. Access: Apart from its scenic locaiton, RCS provides added value as it is situated on main Aliabad Karakoram Highway making it minutes walk distance from all major bus terminals, public transport stations, banks, pharmacies, restaurants. We at RCS are proud to be pioneers of establishing the first ever camping site of Hunza Valley. RCS is globally acknowledged in its golden period.
