MOUNTAINEER DIES AFTER SPANTIK SUMMIT💔

Pakistani mountaineer Asma Mushtaq has died while descending from Spantik Peak (7,027m), also known as Golden Peak, in Pakistan’s Karakoram range.

According to the Alpine Club of Pakistan, Mushtaq successfully reached the summit in good health. However, during her descent at around 6,400m, she suffered a serious high-altitude medical emergency. Despite immediate efforts by her mountain guides, she could not be saved.

Spantik is one of Pakistan’s prominent high-altitude climbing destinations, attracting mountaineers from around the world.

A tragic loss on the descent from one of the Karakoram’s iconic peaks.
