Important Terms and conditions:
Registration form without reference details / ROLL number/ ID number will not be entertained.
1. Paid transport is available for TGG Hostel resident only for pick and drop at specified timing.
2. Room availability will be based on “First Come First Serve” basis.
3. Friend or any family member is not allowed to stay at night without approval of management.
4. Once room has been allotted will not be changed without written application along administration charges.
5. No Electric appliance is allowed such as refrigerator/ room cooler/ air-condition/electric heater/ personal iron. Defaulters will be fined heavily and disciplinary action would be taken: However for student’s convenience, water dispenser and electric iron with stand and a micro wave oven have also been provided at ground and 3rd floors of TGG Hostels.
6. Pets and animals are not allowed in the TGG Hostels premises.
7. Students are not allowed to stay out of TGG Hostel after 08.30 pm, the time notified otherwise. Defaulters will be fined heavily.
8. Students are allowed to leave campus / TGG Hostel only with written permission by the respective warden. Parents may also be consulted by the Administration when felt necessary.
9. In/out registers must be filled in while leaving the TGG Hostel for a private purpose, failing which absence will be marked and disciplinary action will be initiated against the defaulters.
10. TGG Hostel/Mess property for example newspapers, magazines, furniture, TV, radio, cutlery and crockery etc will not be removed by students from the TGG Hostel/mess.
11. All residents of TGG Hostel are expected to cooperate for taking care of the TGG Hostel property. Any person found guilty of damaging or breaking items of TGG Hostel/mess will be made to pay the cost of the item in addition to the fine / penalty.
12. Television will be closed at 20:30 hours on normal working days and at 23:45 hours on the weekends/closed holidays. The keys of television room will be in the custody of TGG Hostel management. However, in case of some important sports events like World Cup/ Olympics etc, special permission can be obtained from management.
13. Whenever a student wants to leave TGG Hostel, she must inform in writing to the TGG Hostel management minimum of a one month in advance. Dues will be paid and clearance will be obtained before leaving TGG Hostel.
14. Few aspects of discipline are highlighted here:-
a. Ragging in any shape which causes physical or psychological harm or raises apprehension of fear, shame or an embarrassment to the new housemate, including teasing, abusing, shouting, playing practical jokes or causing hurt to such person or asking the new member to do any act or to perform such things (which such ordinary human will not be willing to do) is strictly forbidden. Rather it is expected that senior housemate will help the juniors in their settle down in the TGG Hostel. Anybody found involved in ragging will be dealt sternly. Smoking University is declared as a smoking free zone. Smoking is prohibited in the rooms as well as in the TGG Hostel premises. Criminal Activities Anybody found involved in any criminal activity e.g theft, physical handling, using abusive language, involving in using of narcotics / supplying / helping as well as accompanying in such activities will be expelled from TGG Hostel forth with. d. Borrowing / lending money among the students as well as with the TGG Hostel staff is prohibited. TGG Hostel Administration will not take responsibility of any dispute / activity. e. Unlawful Activities are strictly prohibited and strong action would be taken on appearing any of activities such as:
i. Involvement in Banned organizations and anti-state activities. ii. Becoming member of any student union, anti state organization or banned organization. iii. Creating trouble in TGG Hostel premises including going / on organizing strike and inviting others for strike or printing / writing / distributing pamphlets / handouts / any methods for such like activities. iv. Giving threats to any member of TGGh or staff member. v. Making loss to TGG Hostel property. vi. Misusing of TGG Hostel facilities. vii. Bringing / inviting non entitled persons in the TGG Hostel. viii. Gambling in any shape. ix. Smoking of banned drugs.
15. A laundry services has been established for the TGG Hostels members for provision of washing and pressing of clothes with minor of cost.
16. TGG Hostel Warden and member of management of TGG Hostel can inspect TGG Hostel (student’s rooms and cupboards etc) without any advance warning or notice.
17. Guests are not allowed to visit / stay in the TGG Hostel premises at any time. They may be entertained in the Cafeteria.
18. Temporary Stay in TGG Hostels Only on availability of surplus and vacant accommodation,
19. Keeping of prohibited medicines, drugs without doctor’s prescription.
20. Possession of following items is totally banned and those who are checked will be expelled from the TGG Hostel. I. Fire arms and daggers etc. II. Alcohols, Toxic drugs, sheesha, gutkha and hashish/heroin etc. III. Crackers, explosives and ammunition etc. IV. Objectionable material like videos, books or photographs. V. Smoking and keeping any kind of such items. VI. Misusing TGG Hostel premises/facilities other than studies. VII. Involvement in criminal/police cases, it will be taken very seriously to the extent of expulsion from the TGG Hostel.
