🌱 From Dust to Dreams — And You Made It Real.
Serenge (سےرینگ) means “Long Life” in Balti.
And maybe, that’s what this place was meant for — to grow slowly, live deeply, and give back.
✨ Serenge Retreat isn’t just a stay — it’s a story.
Seven years ago, this land was just dry soil by the river.
No water. No fence .
Only a few trees planted by my father — goats would chew them down every winter.
We wrapped them in old shirts, hoping they’d survive.
When my father retired, the first thing he built wasn’t a house — it was a fence around this land.
Then we dug a 40-foot deep well, by hand.
With a solar pump, water flowed — and the land began to breathe.
I used to camp here.
Stargaze.
And dream.
One dream was to build a small hut — soulful and peaceful.
I had no experience. Just ideas, passion, and my two brothers.
It took 2 years to build one glamping hut.
And another year for the guesthouse.
Piece by piece, stone by stone — we built Serenge Retreat.
I thought maybe a few people might visit each year.
After all, we’re not near Skardu airport.
We’re not a fancy resort.
We don’t have a big marketing team.
But then something beautiful happened.
A few guests found us on Airbnb — and they loved the vibe, the woodwork, the feeling.
So I posted on social media…
💥 The response was unexpected.
More guests came.
They stayed, they shared, they felt something.
Serenge Retreat became more than just a stay — it became a feeling.
🌾 You helped me learn hospitality.
Your feedback helped me grow the service.
This season alone — over 150 bookings and inquiries.
I still can’t believe it.
I just want to say thank you — to everyone who supported this dream.
To those who stayed, trusted, and recommended.
You made it real.
You made it grow.
You made it Serenge.
💫 Serenge is not perfect — but it’s soulful. Growing. And always welcoming.
Come stay. Come feel. Come heal.
