While in Norway, we watched how hotels with an eco-friendly approach function

You can see it at every turn;
At the morning buffet - you can see fresh, natural products served so that there is as little plastic waste and food waste as possible
There are no small packages of butter or jams, previously sliced ​​bread or cheese, etc.

If you forgot your toothbrush, the one you get at the hotel is bamboo, i.e. one that can be biodegradable

The hotel encourages you to drink tap water instead of buying bottled water

There are no small packages of cosmetics in the bathrooms, but refill bottles, which are refilled when there is no washing liquid or shampoo in them.

Instead of laundry bags, there are bags in the rooms where you can put clothes you don't want anymore. The hotel donates them to charity

At the entrance to the hotel elevator you will find textile bags made of recycled materials
If you need shopping bags you can buy them for a small price at the hotel reception

WITH RESPECT TO THE PAST

Hotel Gutkowski, a small charming hotel can be found in two historic buildings dating back to the end of the nineteenth century that used to be house for fishermen.

They were restored to keep this appealing minimalism and simplicity characteristic for their past: light rooms with salvaged furniture. So called "Arte Povera" (poor art style) which underlines the travel theme and the discovery of the country.

This is our chance to commit to new ways of moving around the planet🌍🌏🌎💫

‚I've been thinking a lot about travel lately, which is ironic because I can't go anywhere. Much of the world remains in lockdown and, even if everything reopened tomorrow, I would not be lining up to buy a plane ticket. My thoughts on travel are more focused on how damaging the tourism industry has become in recent decades and how this pandemic-induced lockdown is a rare opportunity to rethink the way we move around the globe and to make it more sustainable’

These are travel tips that I plan to embrace and hope you, as conscientious travellers, will, too.

1. Get to know your own country.
2. Go small and simple (or go home).
3. Use local tour guides.

Fabulous to spot IT! The place where nature accepts hotel

The first landscape hotel in Europe is situated in the farmyard of Burtigarden farm at Alstad in Valldal, on a steep, natural levee in between birch, osp, pine and age-old boulders.
