This weeks stop: 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬.𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬.𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬.

Ya know… sometimes you just want home-cooked food, even on vacation.

This week we stopped by Butcher’s Meat.Wine.Friends. on the old Ramey Base in Aguadilla. They have everything from lunch meat, beef, pork, and fish to specialty items.

We picked up these beef short ribs… seriously, look at the size of these things! 🤤 They turned out incredible.

If you’re in Puerto Rico, do yourself a favor and visit the distillery. 🥃

This isn’t just another rum distillery, it’s the oldest rum brand in Puerto Rico, 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 1880. They age every batch in Oloroso sherry barrels and never add sugar, caramel coloring, or artificial flavors, which gives it a rich, smooth flavor that’s more like sipping a fine whiskey than a typical rum.

One thing a lot of people don’t realize: while you MIGHT be able to find some bottles in the mainland U.S. and a few other countries, certain expressions (like the Four Stars) are only sold at the distillery in Bayamón.

Whether you’re a rum lover or not, the tour is absolutely worth it. It’s one of those places that gives you a real taste of Puerto Rican history, craftsmanship, and culture. 🇵🇷

This week’s stop: KAI Beach Bar & Rest at Jobos Beach. 🌊

KAI is a laid-back, oceanfront beach bar serving up Puerto Rican-American fusion with a killer view. The ceviche is fresh 🐟, the nachos are loaded, the mofongo never disappoints, and the cocktails… let’s just say they don’t mess around. 🍹

🌮🍔 Fork Yeah Friday ~ 𝐕𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍!! 🌱

One of my favorite things about Puerto Rico is its food truck culture. Food truck parks are scattered all over the island, bringing people together over incredible food in a fun, laid-back atmosphere. What started as classic street food has grown into a creative culinary scene where talented chefs serve everything from authentic Puerto Rican favorites to bold international flavors—all from a food truck.

This week’s stop is Arte Sano Vegan Food, located in the PR-4466 Food Truck Park!

Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just someone who appreciates really good food, this place deserves a visit. Their menu features burgers, tacos, pizza, fresh juices, incredible desserts, and one of the best Sunday brunches around. If nobody told you it was plant-based, you probably wouldn’t guess.

Be sure to check out a few of the other food trucks while you’re there, and soak in the atmosphere. It’s a great way to experience Puerto Rico beyond the beaches.
