Seven On the Road’s later and a rollercoaster of emotions, we officially finished this 3rd season grateful for all the experiences lived, all the good food shared and the great guests who were part of this journey. Our aim is to celebrate the Puerto Rican countryside and the great talent of our food system: farmers, fishermen, chefs and sommeliers. Thank you for saying yes to a third season and flying from NY for it, for your support all these years and joining us for this wonderful closing, .gal for also saying yes to the idea and all those beautiful wine pairings from , to for welcoming us to, and connecting us with, inspiring corners of our Island, to Manuel and El Pretexto’s team, partner and family that support us from the idea to action. Thank you! 🙏🏼 | Tras siete On the Road y una montaña rusa de emociones, hemos finalizado oficialmente nuestra tercera temporada, agradecidos por todas las experiencias vividas, la buena comida compartida y los maravillosos invitados que formaron parte de este viaje. Nuestro objetivo es celebrar el campo puertorriqueño y el gran talento de nuestro sistema alimentario: agricultores, pescadores, chefs y sommeliers. Gracias a Chef Jonathan Meléndez por aceptar una tercera temporada y todos esos viajes relámpagos desde NY, a la gran Natalia Vallejo por su apoyo durante todos estos años y por acompañarnos en este maravilloso cierre, a Giacomo por decirle que sí también por tres años y todos los exquisitos maridajes de vinos de La Bodega de Méndez, a Para La Naturaleza por darnos la bienvenida y conectarnos con rincones hermosos e inspiradores de nuestra isla, a Manuel y al equipo y familia de El Pretexto que nos apoyan desde la idea hasta la acción. ¡Mil gracias!

Turning a neglected basement into a wine cellar has been one of those dreams pushed aside due to all the more pressing investments and fixings that we have been doing for the last 9 years but seeing it slowly come to life has been a wonderful experience. This one for example, is a lamp using repurposed wine bottles from our dinners! 🤩

Last Sunday, On the Road’s fifth stop brought us to Casa Raíz — Quebrada Sonadora in Naguabo, a hidden gem where mountains meet flowing water. Starting with a forest bathing to find our table set right beside the creek, the whole experience felt vibrant, grounding, and deeply in tune with Nature.

A heartfelt thank you to Chef Jonathan Meléndez for shaping the experience through his talent, creativity, and thoughtful approach to local ingredients, reminding us of the beauty and power of cooking from the land.

To Male, José, and family: thank you for opening your doors and sharing your incredible paradise with us. And to our local food producers and our team, the hands behind every detail, thank you for your dedication, care, and excellence throughout.

El pasado domingo, la quinta parada de On the Road nos llevó a Casa Raíz — Quebrada Sonadora en Naguabo, un rincón mágico entre montañas y agua. Con la mesa junto a la quebrada, la experiencia fue única, refrescante y profundamente conectada con la naturaleza.
