We love our sweets here at Mango Mountain, and you can take a bite of anything you can pick. We’ve got dragon fruit, pineapple, mangosteen, star fruit, lots of bananas, limes, acerola cherries, aloe, pomegranates, passion fruit — and somehow still more. 🍍🍌💫

Papayas pop up where they please, our mango trees battle for the biggest fruits, the coconut palms dance in the wind, and the cactus garden just sits there looking smug. 🌵😎

A few ceiba trees keep an eye on it all, and the herbs — Thai basil, rosemary, ginger, lemon balm, thyme and more — add a gourmet aroma to our grounds. 🌿

At Mango Mountain, all chefs are welcome, and all cooks matter. Rincón boasts plenty of well-stocked supermarkets within a 10-minute drive, offering a treasure trove of flavors that make Puerto Rican cooking unforgettable. Guests love discovering ingredients like acerola (West Indian cherry), passionfruit (parcha), guava (guayaba), soursop (guanábana), tamarind (tamarindo), and starfruit (carambola). Tropical staples such as coconut, mamey sapote, quenepas (Spanish limes), and papaya add an exotic touch. Root vegetables like yuca (cassava), malanga, and Caribbean sweet potatoes (batata) bring hearty richness to the table, while breadfruit (panapén) and plantains (plátanos) shine in savory and sweet dishes alike.

Our markets feature an abundance of ají dulce (sweet peppers), recao (culantro), and achiote (annatto), essential for sofrito and vibrant rice dishes. Unique condiments like pique (hot sauce), alcaparrado (a mix of olives and capers), and the crowd-pleaser mayoketchup pack bold flavor into every bite. Desserts like flan de queso, tembleque (coconut custard), and the holiday favorite coquito, along with locally made candies, and chocolates satisfy any sweet tooth. Other must-try treats include guineos en escabeche (pickled green bananas), gandules (pigeon peas), and even freshly made pasteles for the adventurous.
