Casa Zuza is a family home turned boutique guesthouse located in Aljezur, Portugal in a coastal neighborhood called Vale da Telha. Vale da Telha is a mix of verdant national parkland, blue-flag beaches, incredible waves, castles, ancient villages and an small-town charm that makes you happy to be alive. Our little hotel, with it’s beautiful ocean and sunset views, is a place to relax, recharge and reconnect.
When we found our piece of paradise we couldn’t believe our luck. “The Western Algarve is immune to globalization,” said Uruguayan painter Walter Rosso in an article in Condé Nast Traveller. Coming to the south West of Portugal is like stepping back in time – life is simple, people are friendly and the surroundings are breathtaking.
As frequent travelers – nearly 50 countries and counting – we’ve learned that feeling at home when you’re on the road is priceless. When we finally decided to put down some roots, we knew it meant opening our home to other travelers so we could keep sharing the magic of the road. We bought a beautiful property that was the former summer home of an prominent Portuguese family, renovated and opened the doors to Casa Zuza in the summer of 2018.
We strive to create a relaxing and welcoming environment for our guests, while providing the services to make your stay truly special. As veterans of the travel industry, we know that details matter. With few rooms, the hotel has a very intimate feeling – the open-plan living areas and verandas often play host to conversations that last long after dinner has ended.
