And this is where we arrived.

When we shared our different logo ideas, one kept coming back in your comments: the tree.

Roots. Nature. Belonging. Something that grows over time.

So we listened — and this is the logo that will represent Serra do Meio Estate. ❤️

When we shared the different ideas for the Serra do Meio logo, we genuinely wanted to hear what people thought.

And you certainly told us. 😊 Here, on Instagram, on LinkedIn and privately.

Again and again, people came back to the tree — the roots, nature, belonging and the idea of something that grows over time.

So we listened.

And this is the logo that will represent Serra do Meio Estate. I hope you like it. ❤️

Serra do Meio Estate

We made another decision about Serra do Meio that I’m not completely sure everyone will agree with. 😊
We decided not to put the price on our own website.
That doesn't mean we're hiding it.
Serra do Meio will also be available through rental platforms and other websites, and the price will naturally be displayed there.
But when someone comes directly to us, we'd like to do things a little differently.
Rather than starting with a price and a booking button, we'd rather start with a conversation.
Who is coming? What would you like your time here to be? Do you want us to help organise things, or would you rather we leave you completely alone to enjoy the house and the land around it?
Conversation first. Price second.
That's the decision we've made for our own website.
But maybe we're wrong. 😊

Would you expect to see the price immediately, or would you be happy to start with a conversation?

This week we are doing something a little different at Serra do Meio.
We are trying to find our logo.
The ideas you see in the video are not finished designs. We are still playing with them, changing things and trying to understand what really represents Serra do Meio.
And there is something I didn't say in the video: These logos came from my daughters, who are the artists in our family.
They have been playing with things that are very much part of this place — the deer, the landscape, the SM initials and the tree.
I particularly like the idea of the tree and its roots, also a Chinese style on the approach of a Alentejo tree, the roots also connect with our Plant Your Memories idea: come here, plant a tree, plant your memories as a family as a group.
Which one do you like? Which one feels more like Serra do Meio? Please plant your ideia.
And don't worry about offending my daughters — I won't tell them. 😂
Maybe I should get them in front of the camera next time to explain the creative process.

Our little Nika, a Ratonera bodeguera andaluz.
From the beginning of our journey at Serra do Meio, she was there.
She followed us everywhere — around the Estate, on our walks, while we worked, and through all the changes that happened over the years.
But more importantly, she was part of our family.
For almost five years, Nika gave us countless happy and funny moments and memories that we will carry with us forever.
Last week, we had to say goodbye.
Serra do Meio won't be quite the same without that little white dog following us around.
Thank you for everything, Nika. We miss you.

Today, AI could probably build one for us in minutes.
But we're building Serra do Meio's website ourselves, step by step, with Wordpress.
Why?
Because we want to make sure that every photograph, every word, every page, reflects Serra do Meio with no filters and we can deliver what we promise you.
Serra do Meio experience shouldn't begin when you arrive at the Estate.
It must begin the first time you discover us.
