"Portugal Fabulous. Im home!
I stayed in Ventura in September for a late summer break. The villa was spacious light and extremely comfortable. I instantly felt at home. Exceptionally clean with added personal touches. Mel thought of everything from being on hand every step of the way for local tourist information to just merely having to work out navigating directions from place to place and tips on buying locally, supermarket shops, local market days etc. She suggested some fantastic places to visit including an amazing gob smacking place called Poco de Cesta, in a village called Casal Novo where you can while away the day swimming in the rock pools in fresh mountain water and picnic on the rocks, absolutley stunning and just a short and panoramic vistas view drive from Folques.
We were so struck with the area that we came back for an impromptu trip in late November not expecting it to be particularly as beautiful and pleasing as our first visti in the summer, however how chuffed were we! Portugal I have to say is a fantastic destination in the autumn and winter. Our apartment was warm and cosy with the enticing wood burner in the living area which kept us happy and content for the entire stay there. Logs abundant! The winter views were STUNNING and it was so nice to exprience the markets and christmas fairs and all of the activities that winter in Portugal has to offer. I 100% reccomend both apartments and will without a doubt be returning for a spring experience!"
