Everything perfect! The apartment itself is luxurious, comfortable and provided with every facility you could require, from technology through to
a built-in and very efficient barbecue. We didn't need to trouble the staff about anything, but I'm sure they would have been instantly available. Burgau is small and quiet, but full of good-value, welcoming restaurants and shops, suited to more discerning travellers than noisy and brash Luz just down the coast. The surrounding towns have a good choice of supermarkets, and there is easy access to a range of activities, from walking and historic ruins to child-friendly days out at the zoo or water park. Altogether a memorable holiday and one we hope to repeat in years to come. Beautiful place, perfectly equipped. We enjoyed 9 days in this apartment in Burgau and enjoyed so much! Burgau is a beautiful and fairly calm little village. The apartment is located in a larger estate are which is very well maintained. The Barkers Apartment is perfectly equipped - we missed nothing. It has also a great and luxurious standard that we enjoyed a lot. We just felt at home. The walking distance to the beach is relaxed 10 Minutes. Also the way to Rota Vincentina, a beautiful hiking trail, is close. The Barkers as landlords are more than helpful, they take care of any question and send out a perfect and all-including Q&A and Information-Sheet. The local caretakers that welcomed us are also very lovely and helpful. My husband and I stayed here for a week at the star of October 2019 with our close friends.The apartment was immaculate. There was everything that we could possibly need for a week's self catering break. Access to the lovely, sandy beach and shops was just a short walk away and there was a plethora of super places to eat - all which required booking. The barbecue at the apartment was a lovely touch and made eating in a little bit special. Everyone we met, be they local or tourist was helpful and approachable. The pool was very close - it was spotlessly clean and the sunbeds in good repair. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Burgau. Fantastic apartment. Visited this apartment for the second year running and it is definitely a great stay in a peaceful village. The additions of the new floor tiles, outside glass windshield and the walk-in shower made the stay more enjoyable. Recommend this apartment and a holiday to Burgau! Everything you need and more! Burgau is like a Cornish fishing village in the Sun. It has everything you need. Good food, great beaches, safe, and clean. If its loud music and nightclubs you are after this is not the place for you! The apartment is clean, tidy and modern. The beds are comfortable, the A/C cold and the WiFi is fast enough. We have been to this apartment 4 times now and will return again. 10/10. Beautiful and well equipped apartment with attention to homely detail. The BBQ and outside sitting area make for a relaxing afternoon or evening. Walking down the road through the tiny fishing village of Burgau is as much a pleasure as arriving at the beach just 5 mins walk away. Close to supermarkets for provisions, well stocked gift shops and ATM’s. Plenty of choice of restaurants should you want to eat out.
