One of the pleasures of returning to Quinta de Agriboa is finding books left behind by guests. When we restored the house we stocked the shelves with our own books. Some of them have gone but they have been replaced by others. We might need extra shelves. Just finished In Dubious Battle by John Steinbeck. He could write.

Porto, one of the coolest cities in Europe, is about an hour from the villa. You can drive into the city centre or you can park at the airport and take the Metro. Stunning views down by the river. You won’t regret it.

The winter sun dropping into the Atlantic Ocean at Ancora, a beautiful fishing village near Quinta de Agriboa. We go here every time we are in Portugal.
