Some places tell their story quietly.
Along the coast of Aveiro, the striped houses of Costa Nova do Prado have watched generations of fishermen come and go.
Long before they became one of Portugal’s most photographed places, these wooden houses were simply storage shelters.
A place for nets, boats and everything the sea returned to land.
Their colours were never meant to be decorative.
They were signals, helping fishermen recognise their homes when returning from the lagoon, even when the fog covered the shoreline.
Today, the rhythm is different.
But the spirit of this place remains the same.
Ocean on one side.
The Ria on the other.
And a way of life shaped by both.
At ATLORA, this landscape is part of our story too.
Because every dish from the Ria carries the same memory of this coast.
Have you walked these colourful streets before?
