Maintaining the Details That Matter 🌿🏡

Today I met with our gardener to review the shrubs and landscaping at the private beach parking area reserved exclusively for Casa Avós Félix Lopes guests.

While guests often notice the beautiful views, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location, there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into maintaining a property and ensuring everything looks its best year-round.

Our private beach parking area is a valuable amenity for guests visiting Foz do Arelho, especially during the busy summer months. Keeping the landscaping healthy, trimmed, and welcoming is just one of the many ways we work to enhance the guest experience.

At Casa Avós Félix Lopes, we believe that every detail matters—from the house itself to the outdoor spaces our guests enjoy throughout their stay.

We look forward to welcoming many more guests this summer to experience the beauty of Portugal’s Silver Coast. 🇵🇹☀️

Safety First at Casa Avós Félix Lopes 🏡🧯

Owning and operating a short-term rental in Portugal comes with important legal responsibilities—especially when it comes to the safety and well-being of our guests.

Many people don’t realize that accommodations like ours are required to have specific safety measures in place, including a first aid kit, fire blanket, fire extinguisher, emergency information, and other essential items designed to protect our guests and provide peace of mind.

It’s all part of being a responsible host.

Today, I took our fire extinguisher to an authorized inspection company to complete its annual certification for the 2026 cycle. It’s one of those behind-the-scenes tasks that guests may never notice, but to us, it’s one of the many details that matter.

At Casa Avós Félix Lopes, we believe that hospitality isn’t just about providing a beautiful place to stay—it’s about creating an environment where our guests feel safe, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they arrive until the day they leave.
