Opened in 1986, the interesting Scrimshaw Museum is part of one of the unmissable landmarks of Faial Island and, in fact, from the Azores archipelago itself: the Peter Sport café. ☕️

The museum features an interesting collection of carved and engraved Whale and S***m Whale teeth: the Art of Scrimshaw. In addition, it also houses books, notebooks, excerpts and memoracies of the many travelers who passed through here and left their mark. 🐳

An unforgettable place for those who visit it!
