The Calma do Mar is a clean and cozy small scale Bed & Breakfast with a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. ,A home away from home‘ is our philosophy.

Our little pension is equipped with everything you might need for having a wonderful stay. There is a kitchen that is open for your use after breakfast hours, a spacious living room with a fireplace, free WiFi, a book exchange and of course our garden and terrace with direct view towards the close by ocean and the volcano. Alltogether we accommodate 12 people in 6 rooms. We have single-, double-,

twin- and family rooms that await you with homemade furniture, plenty of space and comfortable linen and mattrasses. All rooms are also equipped with a table and chairs, plenty of storage room, bathing towels and a hairdryer. Every morning you will wake up to a rich and healthy breakfast. We do our best, to include many local products and seasonal fruit into our morning buffet. The Azores produce a variety of different kinds of cheese that you will find every morning. Also bananas, pineapple, figs and even tea are grown on the archipelago and find their way to our breakfast table. In our garden you can enjoy the view to Pico mountain, to the sea or grill your daily catch on our BBQ.

12 years of Calma do Mar… and we can hardly believe it! 🥹💙

In 2014, we opened our doors for the very first time.
And somehow… 12 years have simply flown by!

So many guests.
So many stories.
So many beautiful memories.
And so many sunsets over Pico. 🌊🌅

We feel incredibly grateful — and very proud — to have shared a little piece of Calma do Mar with so many wonderful people from all over the world.

12 years later, we still love what we do.
And we’re excited for everything that’s still to come! ✨
