Casa do Mar is a beautiful traditional house in Sao Pedro de Moel, a small picturesque coast town in the center of Portugal at just 1,30h drive from Lisbon. It is a three story house, rebuilt in 1982 over a XVIII century cottage, with two fireplaces and a large veranda, just at the main square of the village and only 20 meters off the beach. cean is yours. Casa do Mar has three bedrooms and four bathrooms on three floors. The ground floor has a comfortable seating area, a large dining area with fireplace, a kitchen and a bathroom. The first floor includes a large living room with access to a balcony with privileged sea and town view, library with working desk, one bedroom with a double bed and a large private bathroom. The second floor has one double bedroom, one bedroom with a single bed, one bathroom with a shower and lavatory and another bathroom with lavatory and toilet. It is a perfect holiday family house on the beach with room for everyone, a large social area, several bathrooms and a spacious functional well equipped kitchen. It can also be cozy enough for only a couple, in which case the second floor would probably not be necessary. Running down from the hills to the beach, the romantic small village of São Pedro de Moel looks as a shell surrounded by the large pine forest first established in the 13th century by Portuguese King Dom Diniz. With a small population which most of the year does not exceed 300 people living in houses with wooden balconies overlooking the sea, São Pedro de Moel is a calm and quiet place where in the evening the sea breeze melts with the warm homelike aroma of wooden fireplaces. Casa do Mar is located in the center of São Pedro de Moel, near shops, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Also along the seaside at Praia Vellha, Praia da Concha, Água de Madeiros, Polvoeira and Paredes, you will find several small restaurants and bars where you can try from local fish dishes to light snacks. Bording the beautiful beaches, a walk and cycling path with several shortcuts invites you to exercise, either enjoying the wide sea scenery up to the old lighthouse, or strolling along the Ribeiro de São Pedro, a cool stream of fresh water running between a dense forest of very high and old trees and meeting the sea at Praia Velha, a golden sandy beach 4 miles wide. At short driving distance, it is possible to visit places like Leiria, Nazaré, Alcobaça, Peniche or Baleal.
