A great tip for a day trip from Oásis Azul!

Drive through the inland countryside towards Cacela Velha, a charming little village with beautiful views over the Ria Formosa Natural Park.

Continue your journey along the Portuguese coast towards Spain. It’s lovely to stop for a coffee at one of the beachside spots such as Sem Espinhas or Chá com Água Salgada.

Then take the ferry from Vila Real de Santo António to cross the border into Ayamonte. Vila Real itself is also worth a visit.

In Ayamonte, it’s well worth exploring the town, and you can enjoy a delicious lunch at LPA Culinary Bar or at one of the many tapas bars.

And if you still have some energy left, it’s wonderful to end the day with a drink in Cabanas de Tavira at Quasi Bar, a rooftop spot overlooking the Ria Formosa.

Definitely worth it!

A 15-minute drive from us you will find this beautiful waterfall. Also great for a refreshing dip.

FLOWERS & RAIN
It has been raining a lot in the Algarve over the last few weeks. Great for the soil and water reserves, but we are longing for more sunshine. For now, though, we are enjoying beautiful nature with lush greenery and blooming flowers.
