The incredible Marcus Gad & Tribe spent a week here rehearsing for their European tour.

The house was alive with rhythm and energy — drums, harmonies, laughter, incense.

At one point, their producer said he’d never seen the band start creating like that before — recording little ideas right there in the kitchen, totally spontaneous. It was beautiful to watch.

Such a great bunch of guys — beautiful vibes all week.

That’s what The Groove House is all about: when artists feel free enough to just create.

Ten days.
Eight musicians.
Almost thirty songs.

What started as one person’s idea — a crowdfunded songwriting retreat by [] — turned into something magical. Studios in every room. Instruments everywhere. Songs appearing faster than anyone could record them.

The energy was unreal. Connection, collaboration, pure flow.

This is what The Groove House is all about.

Gui started playing guitar at 17, THREE years before going on to get signed by Sony. With Angolan roots, he spent most of his life here in Lisbon, though with international status around the corner, this is likely the beginning of a journey far and wide.

We had the pleasure of having Gui round for a couple of days to film this clip, as well as having him play one of our 'Live My Fire' sessions. These are part of a Groove House collaboration with CoCasa - Collaborative House: an intimate gig followed by a mouth-watering three-course dinner, finishing up with a carefully curated jam with studio-quality audio. We generally do these on the last Sunday of every month...hope to see you at the next one!
