É com enorme satisfação que a Feira Nacional do Cavalo anuncia a conclusão do processo de inscrição da Feira da Golegã no Inventário Nacional do Património Cultural Imaterial, cujo anúncio foi publicado hoje, dia 12 de outubro, em Diário da República.

Este reconhecimento representa um marco importante na valorização e salvaguarda de uma das mais emblemáticas manifestações culturais do nosso concelho, região e do país, profundamente ligada à identidade da Golegã, às tradições equestres, ao Cavalo e à história das nossas gentes.

Mais do que um evento, a Feira da Golegã, que engloba a Feira de São Martinho, a Feira Nacional do Cavalo e a Feira Internacional do Cavalo Lusitano, é uma expressão viva da nossa cultura e da nossa realidade equestre, transmitida entre gerações, que reúne criadores, cavaleiros, campinos, artesãos e todos aqueles que contribuem para preservar os saberes, costumes e tradições que fazem parte da nossa identidade coletiva.

Este reconhecimento constitui também um passo fundamental para o próximo grande objetivo: iniciar o processo de candidatura da Feira da Golegã à Lista Representativa do Património Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade da UNESCO, procurando projetar internacionalmente uma tradição que distingue a Golegã e Portugal no panorama equestre mundial.

A Feira Nacional do Cavalo congratula-se com este importante reconhecimento, agradecendo a todos os que contribuíram para a concretização deste processo, em particular às entidades, associações, grupos e comunidades que, ao longo dos anos, têm mantido viva esta tradição.

As a small accommodation local, we strive for sustainable and ecological business management and support the initiative of Ocean Patrol wich restore the oceans and marine life. Through research, conservation, acampaigns, and community engagement, we implement concrete actions to tackle threats to marine ecosystems. Their focus is on reducing plastic and ocean pollution, driving initiatives that halt envionmental degradation and promoSustainable use of natural resources. With Sabine Joseph we have discovered an artist who created these beautiful pictures from the collected beach goods like remnants of fishing nets, which are now available for purchase in an exhibition in our Silver Seahorse

We’re proud to host a new exhibition by local artist Sabine Joseph in our breakfast room, where discarded materials from the Atlantic coast are transformed into thought-provoking works of art.

Using reclaimed fishing ropes, threads and marine debris collected during coastal clean-ups, Sabine creates pieces that tell a story of renewal, connection and our relationship with the ocean.

Living and working on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, her art invites reflection on human impact on the ocean and proposes transformation as both material practice and ecological responsibility.
