Apéro, short for ‘apéritif’ in French, like its Italian counterpart, ‘aperitivo’, comes from the Latin aperire, meaning ‘to open’ and we are indeed opening up the townhouse garden longer and later on week—ends, Friday thru Sunday, to enjoy the longer and warmer days ahead until dusk.
Either sipping sunset cocktails over sweet ‘n’ savoury snacks and nibbles, or sharing a bottle or two of our everchanging natural wines, craft beers or ciders over a couple of mamma—style pillowy sourdough pizzas, this is definitely the time to kick off weekends gathering friends and family around the table, al fresco, at thy best hidden garden in town.
From Neapolitan traditions to Atlantic textures and flavours, ingredients and toppings will change spontaneously to reflect the freshest of the season on top of these chewy thin sourdough bases with delicious doughy crusts and a hint of char making it seriously moreish.
And thy best, for last or later, well, actually, EARLY, our every other day and night ‘partner—in—crime’, is signing a couple of pizzas and bring along one of their most beloved desserts — any guesses? Start drooling, the apéro season is officially open at the Townhouse. Join us.

Eggs have always represented new life and rebirth, from ancient times to the contemporary virtual reality, maybe that’s why this nature’s wonder was absorbed into Easter celebrations. During Lent, when Christians fasted to mark Jesus' time in the wilderness, eggs were one of the foods that people weren't allowed to eat (incidentally, this is why we make pancakes on Shrove Tuesday or one set up the yearly Easter Eggs hunt with children alike).
