🌸 We have a lot of naked ladies at Quinta Valbom right now… 🤩

Before you get too excited: they’re flowers. 😂

Every September, our Naked Ladies (Amaryllis belladonna) suddenly appear from the ground — around the pool, in our borders and even in the herb garden — proudly showing off their beautiful pink flowers without a single leaf. 🌸

Our guests also tell us they feel free to be themselves here. So perhaps the Naked Ladies are setting the right example. 😉

After a wonderful and busy summer season, we’re slowing down a little and enjoying the last warm days, the flowers and the peaceful atmosphere of our Quinta. 🌿☀️

🌿 Twice a week, we gather around a shared table for a cosy dinner with our guests. 🥰
Every morning, we head into our vegetable garden to harvest the freshest ingredients of the day.
Yesterday’s menu? A homemade slowcooked vegetable curry with garlic, onions, peppers, green beans, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, potatoes and tomatoes. 🍅🥕🥔
Freshly harvested from our own garden, full of flavour and prepared with love. 💚
There’s something truly special about sharing a meal that has travelled just a few metres from the garden to your plate — all on the same day. 🍀

☀️ Sometimes a place is simply too beautiful to capture from the ground…

Fifteen years ago, Quinta Valbom was named the most beautiful small campsite in Europe by members of the Dutch travel organisation ANWB. 🤩

Since arriving here, we’ve been doing our very best to make this 300-year-old wine farm even more beautiful, atmospheric and sustainable 🌿

Sometimes it’s difficult to truly capture the feeling of this place in photos or videos… But thanks to the drone footage made by our guests, you can now fly over our valley and experience a little piece of Quinta Valbom from above ✨

🌿 This season, we’ll once again be hosting many cosy dinner evenings. Our vegetable garden is now fully planted — with tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, potatoes, beans, onions, garlic, carrots, cabbage and lettuce — so we can cook fresh, organic and healthy meals straight from the land 🍅🥕
Long tables, good conversations, local wine and simple, honest food… Sharing beautiful evenings together, surrounded by nature ✨

🌿 Today we pruned the oldest and largest tree on our land. This iconic olive tree, over 300 years old, has provided shade and atmosphere to countless cosy drinks and dinners on our terrace.
This winter, we’ve once again been busy pruning and caring for hundreds of trees.
So everything can grow and flourish — and our guests can enjoy the greenery, the shade and the beautiful views over the valley.
🍊🌿 Come and enjoy a glass of local wine with healthy bites, served on our olive wood board.
