☀️ Sometimes a place is simply too beautiful to capture from the ground…

Fifteen years ago, Quinta Valbom was named the most beautiful small campsite in Europe by members of the Dutch travel organisation ANWB. 🤩

Since arriving here, we’ve been doing our very best to make this 300-year-old wine farm even more beautiful, atmospheric and sustainable 🌿

Sometimes it’s difficult to truly capture the feeling of this place in photos or videos… But thanks to the drone footage made by our guests, you can now fly over our valley and experience a little piece of Quinta Valbom from above ✨

🌿 This season, we’ll once again be hosting many cosy dinner evenings. Our vegetable garden is now fully planted — with tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, potatoes, beans, onions, garlic, carrots, cabbage and lettuce — so we can cook fresh, organic and healthy meals straight from the land 🍅🥕
Long tables, good conversations, local wine and simple, honest food… Sharing beautiful evenings together, surrounded by nature ✨

🌿 Today we pruned the oldest and largest tree on our land. This iconic olive tree, over 300 years old, has provided shade and atmosphere to countless cosy drinks and dinners on our terrace.
This winter, we’ve once again been busy pruning and caring for hundreds of trees.
So everything can grow and flourish — and our guests can enjoy the greenery, the shade and the beautiful views over the valley.

Did you know camping is good for your relationship? ❤️

Research shows that 75% of campers say camping has a positive impact on their relationship and family life — even more than people who go on hotel holidays!

Okay… there might be a little grumbling while setting up the tent 😉 But being outdoors together, living to the rhythm of nature, less (digital) distraction and more real conversations, playing, laughing and feeling free… that’s what creates a stronger connection.

💛 We truly believe in that. We see it happening here. And we love creating the space for it.

This coming season, we still have a few romantic spots available… Finding your own little place among the olive and fruit trees, showering under the waterfall and sleeping under the stars ✨
