For facilitators holding creative and reflective work, the environment shapes everything.
Here’s what one guest shared after a recent art retreat at Quinta Carvalhas.
I had the recent opportunity to spend a week at Quinta Carvalhas for an art retreat. I was thrilled with the accommodations, cuisine, grounds, and all the personal attention from the hosts, “G” and Dani.
I stayed in “Willow 2” which was lovingly decorated. I had a private bath, AC, coffee maker, and very comfortable bed.
All the meals were 5-star, and accommodations were made for dietary restrictions.
The art room was perfect for our number of 15.. We were able to have 24 hour access and there was plenty of room so as not to feel crowded. From my seat I was able to look out on the beautifully kept grounds and watch horses being trained in the arena.
The grounds are well kept and I enjoyed interacting with the owner’s dogs. Each morning and evening the horses were approachable for a head scratch, and the chickens were fun to watch.
Probably the best part of Quinta Carvalhas are the hosts. G and Dani anticipated every need members of my group might have. Always friendly, smiling, and eager to assist in any way possible, these two really made my stay a step above any I've ever experienced.
If given the opportunity to attend another retreat at QC, I wouldn't hesitate to revisit.
