XIX recuperado e adaptado para casa de férias, que pela sua maravilhosa situação, assente num ilhéu afastado da costa onde apenas se chegava através de uma ponte de madeira, servia de armazém para as pipas de vinho, que eram posteriormente transportadas via marítima na época em que os percursos entre as povoações eram feitos a pé. ações sendo hoje o porto do Seixal um dos mais visitados. A casa surge da recuperação do edifício, do qual se manteve a estrutura, respeitou-se a sua envolvente e foi incorporado um novo piso em mezanino que concedeu uma arquitetura moderna e original à habitação, diferente das tipologias tradicionais. O Seixal é uma freguesia do concelho do Porto Moniz, caracterizada pelas belíssimas paisagens naturais e excelentes microclimas, o que faz da agricultura e da pesca as suas atividades principais. Possui variadas atrações turísticas, nomeadamente, piscinas naturais, praias, variadas quedas de água (sendo a do Véu da Noiva, uma das mais conhecidas da ilha), levadas e no topo a belíssima floresta Laurissilva considerada património mundial pela UNESCO. Existem restaurantes, bares, algum comércio local e ainda a privilegiada possibilidade de no próprio cais comprar saborosos peixes diretamente aos pescadores acabados de chegar do mar.
______________________________________________________________________(ENG) A 19th century building, restored and adapted for holidays, which for its wonderful situation, based on an islet off the coast where we only came across through a wooden bridge, served as a warehouse for wine casks, which were afterwards transported by sea in a time when paths between settlements were made by foot. Located on the magnificent north shore the islet undergone several transformations turning the dock of Seixal one of the most visited nowadays. The house arises from the recovery of the old building, from which the structure was kept, with respect for its surroundings and being incorporated a new floor in mezzanine which provided a unique modern architecture to the building, unlike the traditional typologies. Seixal is a village in the municipality of Porto Moniz, characterized by breathtaking landscapes and excellent microclimates, which makes agriculture and fishing its main activities. It has various tourist attractions, including, natural pools, beaches, varied water falls (being the “Bride's Veil”, one of the most famous of the island), levada walks and on top the beautiful Laurissilva National Park declared world heritage by UNESCO. There are restaurants, bars, some local commerce and also the privileged possibility of buying in the same dock delicious fishes directly from the fishermen newly arrived from the sea.
