The Sunset Secrets events have just started. Every Thursday in Silves castle for the next five weeks. Great music, great ambience ... and food and drinks too. Brilliant event on in Silves at the moment "III Mostra de Papas de Milho" - the 3rd Maize Porridge Fair. Great atmosphere, very local, lovely things to eat and drink, as well as music and dancing. Still on today and tomorrow (1st/2nd June). One of our dishes was with prawns and fresh coriander, the other with "torresmos" (like pork crackling!)

Public holiday today here in Portugal ... and the coastal walk in Lagoa was stunning, clear and still. This is the "Trail of the Headlands" between Carvoeiro and Ferragudo, with the newly restored "Torre da Lapa" watchtower.
