Tavira has an incredible historical heritage and was established as a city over 500 years ago.
The gastronomy is divided between land and sea and can be enjoyed with a Xerém de Conquilhas or a Cherry chicken.
The views are a treat for body and soul, from the riverside to the salt fields. And of course, you can enjoy the beach on Tavira Island, which is so close by, across the Ria Formosa!

Downtown Alegria is located in the center of Tavira.
Just two minutes from the pier where you can take the ferry to Ilha de Tavira and in walking distance of all the important landmarks in the city, you'll find this 1968 building.
On the second floor, you'll find 7 suites, the charming common area and the terrace, where we've created a leisure area and where you can also enjoy our breakfast, designed to show you some of the delicacies of our region and prepared with fresh local products.
On the second floor, we have two more bedrooms, a common area and access to the lovely upper terrace where you'll find a suite with direct access to the outside space.
We are available to welcome you (at specific times), but you can choose to do your own self check-in.
