Today Portugal is being battered from Storm Marta ....

Lots of Rain, Lots of Wind gusts, and lots of Flooding.

Obviously we're empty, as Motorhomers are looking for sunshine and blue skies.

But when the rain and wind finally stop and the Sun shows its sunny face, we hope to see you once again on your travels 🙂

Hello Folks,

It's Monday 29th December 2025, and its only a few Days until 1st January 2026.

We'll be opening the Club House for Drinks and snacks on Wednesday 31st Dec and watching afar, the Fireworks from Vilamoura at 12 midnight.

We have some Pitches still available if you're looking to stay over the New Year and or into January, February , March etc ...

We've been open for 8 years now and we're lucky to see possibly 6 Vans over the 3 months of Summer.

However, we don't know what's in the water, but this has been our busiest Summer yet. Yay.. we say.. we can pay our Bills on time 🥳

June - not so busy

July - busy for us but certainly not full

August - busy for us but certainly not full

September - slow with the hope it will pick up.

So we'd like to thank everyone for choosing to our come to our little site .... we are very appreciative 🥳

It's very a heavy heart that we write and tell all our lovely guests about the passing of our beloved dog 'Bobby' today.

Bobby had been battling a dreadful lung infection caused by Mould, that unfortunately was mis-diagnosed a few months ago. It wasn't until the end of June and consulting a different Vet, that he was diagnosed that his lungs were infected and if he survived he would have a long road ahead of him to make it back to good health.

So for the past 4 weeks, we were feeding him through a needless syringe, for his food & water. But he stopped taking the 'blended food' by syringe a couple of weeks ago and basically lived off water, with the occasional food. So although this meant he lost so much weight, the biggest issue it caused, was that he wasn't taking his Anti-fungal medication for his lungs.

His days became more about sleep than being awake, more about trying to take in enough oxygen to breathe easily, and more about just surviving.

However, he died a natural quick death (heart attack) and we couldn't have been more relieved that he didn't suffer anymore.

We will greatly miss our Dog who was full of Cheek, full of Warmth and loved meeting all the Motorhomers & Caravanners who passed through our site. That was one activity that Bobby never tied of - Meeting new Friends to say Hello to ....
And of course to see if he could get some treats out of them.

We had Bobby for nearly 10 years and its amazing how quickly a decade goes by:
from the first time he drove home with us in the Buggy and we were totally un-prepared to 'take ownership' of a Dog from a Rescue Non-profit... to the many, many bbq/braai's we had where he just couldn't wait for the people to give him some Meat & tell him he 'was a good boy! '

So we say, Three Cheers for Bobby who was and will always be remembered for the Spirited, Cheeky, Loveable, Self-Willed Dog that he was.
May he Rest In Peace.

Albufeira Municipality Rule Change starting 1st July 2025

New rules include fines for public nudity or s*x, and wearing bikinis outside of bathing areas.

The code of conduct includes fines for wearing bikinis and revealing swimwear outside of beach or bathing areas, as well as public nudity or s*x acts, and wild camping in unauthorised areas.

Under the new code, tourists could face fines ranging from €150 to €1,800, including:

= €300 to €1,500 fines for wearing bikinis or swimwear outside of beach or bathing areas,

= €500 to €1,800 for nudity or public s*x,

= €150 to €750 for wild camping in unauthorised areas.

PS - x8 Motorhomers enjoyed Roast Chicken and veggies, with Peppermint Crisp Dessert and a Glass/Bottle of Beer or Wine last night. Followed by Tea or Coffee. We bake everything fresh on the day. They completely forget the Football Champions Game was on the Big Screen too!

‘Australia Day’ is celebrated in Oz on 26th January each year. It is always a ‘long weekend’ filled with Summer Holidays, BBQ’s, Beach Days, Kids off School and Friend’s and family enjoying a day in the Sun.
