Imagine waking up to this in Romania…

Some mornings make you forget to reach for your phone.

You open your eyes, see the mountains outside the window and suddenly there is nowhere you need to be.

Slow coffee. Fresh air. Kids still sleeping. And this view. 🤍

One of my favourite things about our little cabin in the Apuseni Mountains.

Unele dimineți te fac să uiți complet de telefon.

Deschizi ochii, vezi munții pe fereastră și, dintr-o dată, nu mai trebuie să te grăbești nicăieri.

Cafea băută încet. Aer curat. Copiii încă dorm. Și priveliștea asta. 🤍

Unul dintre lucrurile mele preferate la căsuța noastră din Munții Apuseni.

Comfort isn’t just about a soft bed or a warm blanket (although we have those as well 😉)

It’s the feeling of slowing down, opening the window to mountain air, are realizing there’s nowhere else you’d rather be.

That’s the feeling we hope you’ll find at Casa Milana.

Some mornings, nature puts on a show that no camera could ever fully capture.

The rain had just passed.
The mist slowly began to rise from the valley.
The sun was quietly finding its way through the clouds.

For a few minutes, everything stood still.

No rush.
No noise.
Just fresh mountain air and a reminder that the most beautiful moments are often the quietest ones.

I hope that one day you’ll stand on this terrace, coffee in hand, and experience this feeling for yourself. 🤍

Dacă fetele mele ar putea să-și planifice fiecare zi de vară, cred că ar arăta cam așa… un hamac, o trambulină și absolut niciun program.

Văzându-le cm își petrec timpul, îmi amintesc de ce ne-am îndrăgostit de Munții Apuseni încă de la început.
Viața pare puțin mai liniștită aici și, cumva, micile momente devin cele mai importante.

Abia aștept să împărtășesc acest sentiment cu familiile care vor vizita în curând Casa Milana.

If my girls could plan every summer day, I think it will look something like this….a hammock, a trampoline and absolutely no schedule.
Watching them slow down reminds me why we fell in love with the Apuseni Mountains in the first place.
Life feels little quieter here and somehow the little moments become the Big Ones.
I can’t wait to share this feeling with the families who will visit Casa Milana soon.

Ați intrat vreodată într-un loc care nu pare chiar real?

Așa ne-am simțit noi la Peștera de Gheață din Scărișoara. Să te afli în mijlocul verii într-o peșteră plină de gheață străveche este una dintre acele experiențe despre care fetele noastre încă mai vorbesc.

Și cea mai frumoasă parte? Se află la doar 25 de minute de Casa Milana.

Unul dintre motivele pentru care ne-am îndrăgostit de acest mic colț din Munții Apuseni este că fiecare zi poate deveni o nouă aventură. Într-o zi faci drumeții prin păduri, a doua zi explorezi unul dintre cei mai vechi ghețari subterani din Europa, iar seara te întorci pe terasă, admirând cm munții se colorează în aur pe măsură ce soarele apune.

Acesta este exact genul de vacanță pe care am vrut să o creăm și pentru alte familii – nu una în care te grăbești de la o atracție la alta, ci una în care natura dictează ritmul și cele mai frumoase amintiri se creează împreună.

Dacă îți planifici o excursie în Munții Apuseni sau cauți o cabană liniștită la munte în România, asigură-te că Peștera de Gheață Scărișoara se află pe lista ta. Crede-ne... merită fiecare pas. 🤍

Have you ever walked into a place that doesn’t quite feel real?

That was us at Scărișoara Ice Cave. Standing inside a cave filled with ancient ice in the middle of summer is one of those experiences our girls still talk about.

The best part? It’s only 25 minutes from Casa Milana.

One of the reasons we fell in love with this little corner of the Apuseni Mountains is that every day can become a new adventure. One day you’re hiking through forests, the next you’re exploring one of Europe’s oldest underground glaciers, and by evening you’re back on the terrace, watching the mountains turn golden as the sun goes down.

This is exactly the kind of holiday we wanted to create for other families too—not one where you rush from attraction to attraction, but one where nature sets the pace and the best memories happen together.

Unele dimineți nu au nevoie de ceas deșteptător.

Doar primele raze de soare, cântecul păsărilor de lângă fereastră și această priveliște care te așteaptă înainte chiar să-ți bei prima ceașcă de cafea.

Este unul dintre momentele mele preferate aici, la Casa Milana.

Înainte ca ziua să înceapă, înainte de a porni pe traseele de drumeție sau de a explora frumusețea Munților Apuseni, există o pauză de liniște. Deschizi ochii, privești afară și, pentru câteva minute… nimic altceva nu mai contează.

Acesta este genul de liniște pe care sper ca fiecare oaspete să o poată trăi.

Just the first rays of sunlight, the sound of birds outside the window, and this view waiting for you before you’ve even had your first cup of coffee.

It’s one of my favorite moments here at Casa Milana.

Before the day begins, before hiking the trails or exploring the beauty of the Apuseni Mountains, there’s a quiet pause. You open your eyes, look outside, and for a few minutes… nothing else matters.

This is the kind of peace I hope every guest gets to experience.
