Nestled in the mountains and an easy 10-minute drive from the medieval town of Brasov, the Florescu's home sits up on a near hectare of land with views, plenty of space, great privacy and access to all there is to do in Poiana Brasov. The hallways and rooms are large, the bathrooms are plentiful and the house is appointed with many modern conveniences like TV in most rooms, flat screens, floor-to-
floor WIFI, a storage room for wine, large kitchen. Having made a number of design changes to the house when it was taken back in the mid 1990s, the Florescus have been going there ever since the end of communism, often inviting guests and staff for team building. The private dining room can seat 10 people and the off-the living, stone-slate balcony can seat twice as many for a luncheon or barbeque. The main living room and adjunct space is also perfect for receptions or meetings. (The house was rented by the director of the movie Cold Mountain, a few years back and many rehearsals with Nicole Kidman were done in the living room!)
Perhaps given to exaggeration, Casa Lux, the magazine, called it "...the most luxurious house in Poiana".
