Romania’s first urban natural park, this 183-hectare wetland is a little slice of wilderness in the middle of the city, buzzing with birds and wildlife.

At Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town, caring for children in need is more than a good deed. It is part of our commitment: using the power of hospitality to bring comfort, hope and brighter moments to the communities around us.

Our partnership with Asociatia Pavel is one example of turning this commitment to life. For years now, we regularly visit children undergoing cancer treatment at Fundeni Clinical Institute in Bucharest, bringing a little comfort to them and their families.

Every summer, we join Poppies Feast, when the Oncology Institute’s courtyard comes alive with music, laughter and fun for children, families and the medical teams who care for them. We join this celebration every year, honoring the resilience and hope of these little heroes.

Our care continues year-round through fundraising garage sales, generous partners who sponsor treats for the children and fantastic volunteers who give their time and hearts to make every visit special.

In 2026, we were honored to host Asociația P.A.V.E.L. 30th anniversary gala, bringing together survivors, doctors and volunteers to celebrate three decades of courage, compassion and solidarity.

To every colleague who volunteers, everyone who donates, every partner who supports our visits and everyone helping bring a little more light to these : thank you.

This week, our chefs took their aprons beyond the hotel kitchen and put them to work for more than 60 children at Asociația „Ana și Copiii” Day Centre.

At the day centre, a warm lunch is part of a much bigger picture. Mihaela Voivozeanu and her team help children from families facing financial difficulties with homework, offer emotional and psychological support and give them something that can’t be put on a menu: time, attention and people who care.

At the heart of the association’s work is a simple, but powerful belief: every child deserves an equal chance in life. By helping children stay in school, continue their education and discover what they’re capable of, the team is working to make a better future possible, regardless of the circumstances they were born into.

We’ve been part of this story for several years now. From meals and charity fairs to donations, fundraising and volunteering, our partnership has grown through gestures that may seem small on their own, but mean more when they keep happening. So far, the project has reached more than 1000 direct beneficiaries and 2000 indirect beneficiaries.
In March 2026, this meaningful project received a Bronze Medal at the Romanian Sustainability & CSR Awards, in the Supporting the Community category. A lovely recognition, but the story continues far beyond an awards ceremony - in the daily life of the centre, around the table and in the people who make sure these children have the support they need to keep learning, growing and believing in what lies ahead.

Being part of this wonderful project that helps children stay in school and build a better future is one of the ways we live our commitment. ✨

What does it really mean to be strong? And why do we so often feel the need to hide our vulnerabilities to prove it?
Our General Manager, Irina Semaca, joined an honest discussion about boundaries, authority, vulnerability and a kind of leadership that leaves room for being human, during a seminar, organized by Centrele ROUA and hosted by Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town.

The conversation brought together women facing difficult moments in their lives, who need to be heard without judgement, supported without conditions and reminded that vulnerability is not the opposite of strength.

We’re grateful to Centrele ROUA for creating space for such honest conversations. Supporting people facing vulnerability and difficult times in their life is at the heart of our commitment. ✨

What does a career in hospitality really look like? A little bit of everything and never just what’s written in a job description. 💡

To mark Education Day in Romania, celebrated in early October, our team spent some time with students from the Bucharest Faculty of Geography and Virgil Madgearu Economics College, sharing stories, experiences and a glimpse behind the scenes of hotel life.

We talked about the moments that make this industry special, the challenges that help you grow and the many paths a career in hospitality can take. Most importantly, we got to hear the questions, ideas and ambitions of young people just beginning to imagine their future.

Who knows? Some of the students we met might one day become the colleagues we'll welcome in our team. Until then, we hope we’ve given them a few new ideas to explore and the confidence to follow their curiosity. ✨
